Trigger Happy

Greetings, Acting Fans, welcome to this down-to-the-wire Wednesday blog that will eventually get around to H&H Beeswax. I'm afraid my approach has been a bit lackadaisical this week as I've got a bit of a pre-[The Holiday Festival Which Shall Not Yet Be Named] holiday which started with a weekend in Liverpool at the Cosmic Trigger play and Find The Others event.
I was one of the many who stumped up a bit of cash via crowdfunding to help fund the production celebrating the life and work of the late Robert Anton Wilson, the late countercultural author and thinker, get made. Having not been to Liverpool since I went on an art gallery trip some time ago, I thought I'd do the full weekend and not just the play.
I'm happy to say that the play was a lovely shambles that told the story effectively, funnily and in a way that was a great tribute to Wilson and to the other major figure the play was dedicated to, Ken Campbell. You may not have heard of Ken Campbell but he is a fascinating figure from british theatre (and he was almost Doctor Who once, you know - he lost out to Sylvester McCoy, who could be considered something of a protege - he was in Ken's roadshow before that) who himself organised the production of a dramatisation of another of Robert Anton Wilson's works 'The Illuminatus Trilogy' as a play of epic length.
Back down to earth after the weekend, I have been in a bit of a recovery mode but H&H has never been far from my mind. Some of what I saw over the weekend has caused an idea or two to percolate and reassured me that H&H are just about the right kind of shambolic themselves. Despite my rather relaxed attitude this week (& a Tuesday [The Holiday Festival Which Shall Not Yet Be Named]-shopping trip with my parents) and thanks to Vern being unexpectedly free, we have managed to knock our heads together today and get the H&H creative machine ticking over but I'll let m'learned colleague fill you in on that at the weekend.

Cash Convertors

Hello, Acting Fans, people of the worlds Internet, and fellow bloggers, yep, it's Friday and once again MY time to ramble on....
Well, first of all sorry for no blog posting on Wednesday, we have been very busy - so busy the blog post slipped our minds. So just what have we been busy with?

We haven't had our meet up this week, so we haven't much time to get any new ideas down on paper but we are working on some things. I sent Chris some of the footage that we had forgotten for this month blog. Which he is working on in the fiery forging* of our next blog, so what else have we been doing if not H&H Beeswax? Well, it's sort-of H&H related in that we have been going through some off our old things looking to sell them to generate budget funds. I mean, after all, one man's old stuff is brand new tat for someone else! So this means Chris has been going through his Transformers Toybox (yes, he has a toybox, no car (except for the odd one that turns into a robot), but a toybox) looking to have a clearout and sell them on. He does have quite a few of them, and some of them have not seen the light of day for a while, so he's looking to set them free, for a Fee!

And, coincidentally, I myself (& me) have been sorting through some old comic books to do the same and put them up on eBay, along with some collectable Metal Gear Solid figures that I was given some time back. These are fairly rare, so fingers crossed that they go, and for a pretty penny too! Now, why is important to H&H? Calm down, I'm getting to that point. After all these creative projects don't fund themselves, uhm, until they are actually successful and do, but we're not there yet so to try hitting the two metaphorical with one stones at once we are de-cluttering of our excess things we don't use/or need anymore and, if all goes to plan, we make someone happy getting what they want and WE get some cash money to put back into H&H! We could do with the budget boost as we start getting bolder in what we are planning and, well, you gotta spend money to make money (or at least more ambitious comedy videos).

Forking Out

Hello fellow Acting Fans, bloggers and people of the worlds Internet it is Friday once again and my turn to ramble on, and ramble on I shall!

As Chris said in Wednesdays blog he has spruced up the H&H YouTube page. Well, we do want it be easier for you to find your way around the page and find and watch your favourite Vlog Log, episode and/or Specials. So place go and check out our new look to page and, please, while you are there (please, please) re-watch your favourite H&H video and give it a 'like' thumbs up. C'mon, chaps, we only need about 24 views or so to get us up to a channel total of 3000!!! So please do this for us go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

So whats else has been happing this week? Well, erm, nothing as of it we haven't got another meet up and that and the weather has been awful these last couple of days so even if we would have wanted to film anything, we couldn't. Damn bloody weather!!!! But fear not the next vlog is in that there bag and has been for some time as I said a few blogs back so we don't have to much worry about, but we still do have to come up with a Christmas one. The only other thing that is happening is well sort of in a related to H&H is me waiting for a my job to start. Yep, that's right I am to be starting work. I think we did say a few weeks back that I had been on a course and that course was to learn how to drive an fork lift truck! As Peter Cushing might say an actor is lucky to develop many other skills in his profession.

I can confirm that I did indeed pass the course and am now waiting to start work as the warehouse manger (yes, folks I am now in management, not just a common or garden Wheelman, me). All I know on this front so far is that the builders are in, well, building (that's what builders do, right?) the facilities, sorting out the plumbing and electrics too. So I should be in within the next few weeks of which I am looking very forward to be doing so. I just wish the blooming builders would hurry up and get done! I'm ready to get behind that wheel! Never fear though Harcourt & Haigh will continue, but we might even get a bit of a budget now!

Objects in Motion, Objects at Rest

Welcome to the midweek checkpoint, Acting Fans, and it being a post-Bank Holiday weekend Wednesday you would be forgiven for thinking we have nothing to report but you would be WRONG!
Yes, despite the Bank Holiday or Vern being Mid-Move (and me cutting several rugs with my dancing shoes the prior Sunday night) we managed to meet up for a bit of H&H business. As it turned out this Bank Holiday Monday was a bit of a lull in Vern's Transdomicileular Relocation with Vern and his flatmates, er, I should say HOUSEmates (or is it New Landlords? We'll have to ask their preference) having managed to move all the stuff they could do themselves at the weekend (even with yours truly popping by to help out by doing very little, if anything at all - hey, I had a cover blog to do and my second job to go to! Anyway it's the thought that counts. And I thought I could get away with it!). The burly Moving Men being booked for the following Tuesday (let's face it, hiring movers on a Bank Holiday Weekend is sheer madness - think of the EXPENSE!) he had the day free and a busy Tuesday & Wednesday to look forward to so he texted me about getting together first thing this week. A text I got much later in the day whilst heading out on an ultimately fruitless search for some Granola (they only had 'Tropical Fruit', BLEH!), after my cereal failure I met Vern at what seems to be becoming our local haunt coffee-wise, Halifax's 'Nero's'.

After our usual chinwagging, we eventually got back down to the business called 'Show' and hammered out a few things about our upcoming Actor's Log ideas and scripts, including the potential titling of a couple of them but more info on that would be [SPOILERS]! We realised we've been lucky with our judicious choice to shoot a quick and dirty 'sequel' Actor's Log so we didn't end up missing one this month and May being a bit of a 'longer' month the way it's fallen this year, we have a decent amount of time to prep for our next shoot whether we're ready & able to shoot at H&H HQ2 or not. More plans for Total Internet Domination were mooted and even a poor unfortunate Barista who drifted too close to our conversation got a business card and an invitation to become a willing victim contributor to the H&H Media Machine. We do, after all, need them additional warm bodies. And with that, and an awful lot of unpacking ahead of him, Vern & I parted ways - so that's your lot for this mid-week stay tuned for a weekend update from m'learned colleague this Friday and,

Weekend At Vernie's

Welcome Acting Fans, fellow bloggers and all people of the Worlds Internet. Yep, it's Friday once again and it's blog time. So here's what else has been happing over here at the H&H HQ.

Well, after our meet-up earlier this week as Chris tweaked (tweaked, not twerked that's a different thing entirely. Chris doesn't do that. Hmm, well, Chris doesn't do that sober) I have been writing some more Actor's Logs, well, writing up the Future ones me and Chris were talking about, getting the ideas wrangled down into a workable script. Something that in it's own right can quite difficult, especially when we have talked about so much - it can be hard to remember it all, so remember budding Youtube Producers you can never have too many notes!

Lastly we are going to be filming the next Vlog at this current location of H&H HQ, yep, one last one before the big move. A Final Filmic fling and a farewell to the flat. That shall be next week in fact and, fingers crossed, it shall becoming to your eyes very soon!

Fortunately for us, this one it isn't as props heavy as the last one (well, we *might* be cheating to save on messing about making a prop we'll probably only use once) but sadly there won't be any tasty treats for me this time either (Mmm...braaains!), so it should be quicker for us to do.

The H Hangover

Yes, Acting fans, we're here once again for the Midweek catch-up and, if you haven't seen it yet, you should check out our latest vlog in all it's worldly wisdom (heck, even if you HAVE seen it we need as many views and likes as you can muster):

Though if you didn't catch it before the weekend and subsequently suffered on Bank Holiday Monday don't feel TOO bad because, well, I helped make that video and I still ended up in a similar state myself.

Anyway, enough of what's past - on to the here & NOW! Due to the Bank Holiday Fallout and my subsequent work shifts we've yet to have our regular meet-up but never fear the H&H Machine has not ground to a halt! We're now on with the next vlog which I am passing my keen eye over Vern's initial script before a bit of tweaking (perhaps even into a whole new era). Now to get it ready in time to get it done before The Move! My learned colleague will update you more on Friday.
Another bit of drama, real-life this time, has struck at H&H HQ just today I received an Alert from Google that an unauthorised login was attempted on our humble Gmail account! Yep, an attempted haxxooring! From a mobile device in Colorado, and neither the Vern or myself got drunk enough over the weekend to get there and back and forget about it. Never fear though, our Security Parameters and Countermeasures are now fully enabled! It was a bit exciting there for a moment, okay, okay, more like momentarily distracting but still an attempted hack from America. Wow.
Now that's dealt with it's time for me to get back to my perusing and tweaking, so that's it for this Wednesday, see you later and...

Acting Gear

Hello Acting Fans, fellow bloggers and people of the Internet, yep, it's Friday so it's my turn to ramble on online! As to what's has been happening at H&H HQ?
Well, not much new, as me and Chris haven't been able to get our weekly meet up in this week but we have been in prep mode for us filming this Sunday.
Yep, we are indeed going to be filming the next Vlog down in our good buddy's comic shop Legacy Comics owned by one Simon Shaw in fact. Yes, once again he has very kindly lets us have the use of his shop (well, one of the up stairs rooms - we won't be actually filming in the shop as we don't want to disrupt his business!)

Legacy to the Rescue!

Chris his been doing some testing with one of the required props we bought especially for this very Vlog and I have a few odd things to pick for the shoot on Sunday too. Which is...well, I can't tell you that it'd be ruining the surprise AND the Magic of Filming! All I can say is the testing is going well so far, touch wood, and it's looking like it'll do us a solid, or at least a fairly solid but a bit wobbly.

Yes, so Shatner willing the next Vlog shall be hitting your eyeballs very soon, very soon indeed. Then it's on to the next next Vlog which is already written too! We are getting better at getting on with these (well, when we don't have that day job interference that is) as the H&H machine gets back in acting gear!

A (Pleasant) Shock To The System

Hello Acting Fans, bloggers and people of the Internet, yep, it's Friday and it's my time to ramble on. So let's do this.

As Chris said we meet up on Wednesday for a coffee and geek out in a local coffee house. We did indeed geek out and laugh quite a bit, first thing we got to was, well, to be frank we were amazed that the two girls working there joined in our geek talk as we were being served. One of them even said that my Star Trek badge was cool! (I've NEVER had a woman say that to me before! EVER!)

So, after calming down after that pleasant bit of a shock, we got on the task at hand which was getting this next Vlog sorted. Well, I'm pleased to say we now have all of the props that are needed for it and it shall in deeded be filmed very soon. Next week in fact so it will be coming to your eyes very soon.

Well, we did have a lot of props to get together for it after all, some of which I got from a recent night in a Halifax Pub. You'll see them on screen, and a few others things too. Then as Chris said we got on to planning our next Vlog too, which is going to a sequel to another Vlog, now I can hear you thinking, 'which one?' Well you could always go back and watch them to see which one you think it might be but, as always, I can't say just yet....you'll find out soon enough, as this one will be filmed quick as the big move is, erm, well moving ever closer.

Now you may be wondering, 'Vern there's a weekend coming up, if you want to get filming why wait until next week?' Well, actually there's a very good reason as Chris hinted. Or two good reasons in fact. One, Chris is working Saturday and two, we're...um..doing some, er, ah, research. Yes, that's it research! In our study of the Funny we are off to Leeds to see the awesome Matt Berry of 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace', 'Snuff Box', 'IT Crowd' and 'Toast Of London' in concert so yes filming is delayed due to the gig, er, I mean research. I'm hoping he plays this little number from Darkplace though...

Winter (Soldier) Is Coming

Well, he's already been for me. Welcome to Midweek, Acting Fans, and back to our fully operational and on time (just about) Blog! I'm now feeling a lot better but today's meet-up was delayed due to my attendance (and consequent sleeping-in) of the local Vue's last Tuesday showing of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', to get in on their sweet Super Tuesday offer it's the only one I could make. I did not, however, check the timing too well as by the end of the film (hey, I have to see those end credit scenes) it was 11:30. 11:30 which is after the Last Bus so it was a scenic walk home on the cards for me, AND I'D DO IT AGAIN!!! I am, after all, a Yorkshireman (like the Scottish but less generous ;-).
That exhausting act of full frontal nerdity was exacerbated by me going out on a bit of a scouting mission, successful as it turned out, for a further bit of nerdity - this time of the collectable variety (alright, alright - it was a Transformer). Though I did get home in time for a nice late lunch, it was later than I intended (thank you, Brain, for insisting there was a quarter past train at Sowerby Bridge station, you were, in fact, quite wrong). By way of apology I offered to meet m'learned colleague at the coffee shop of his choice, for a meeting with coffee provided by me.

After regaling him with my tale of miscalculated film times and recommending 'The Winter Soldier' (okay, okay geeking out) it turned out Vern himself is off to see it tonight with his flatmates. Coffees in hand we headed upstairs to get down to H&H business. We got on with planning out the next phase of getting the next vlog filmed which we'll hopefully be able to get sorted next week, as unfortunately filming this weekend is out (though the 'why' we can't film isn't what you'd really call 'unfortunate', but more on that on Friday from m'colleague). Despite still having a working delay, we realised we needed to have another idea in the bag for a vlog after the next vlog is done. Vern had the idea of looking over the prior vlogs to perhaps think about a sequel or semi-sequel to one. And a rather good idea was formed, which Vern will be writing up the basic idea of tonight!
With the planning done and a next idea in hand, we had a bit more nerd chatter over our coffees as we finished them (ranging from Marvel films, to Star Trek, to good & bad series endings, to 'Hard Time On Planet Earth' - a new one to Vern it turned out) before heading home our separate ways after finally getting back to H&H business. Now to get some stuff filmed, wish us Good Luck!

Mystery Item

Hello acting fans, people of the world's Internet and fellow bloggers so its Friday and it's time to BLOG, yep, it's my turn to waffle on about H&H!

Just what has been happing? Well, as mentioned we did mange to get a meet this week (before Chris became ill) we had a few things to do, we had to sort out a costume test. Which we did and it did go well (well, sort of). It did turn out during our test that the item I had to try on was a wee bit small for me (yeah, sure, one size fits all, right) but then we found out there were actually buttons on the item too (which really Chris should have noticed before, as he is far more familiar with the item in question than I am - there that's your only clue!). So it did fit (just about) after unbuttoning (with help from Chris) though I am still going to have to modify the plan for the rest of the costume because of this. What is this all for? Well, it's an integral part of the next Vlog and thats all I can say.

GOOD GOD, NO!!! Nothing to do with THAT 'Mystery', URGH!

 So what else has gone on. well, after some laughing, more of the fake trailer brainstorming and coming up with a few more Ideas we got on to talking once again about the hard to film 6th episode of series, yep, we havn't forgotten about that one, our Moby Dick (don't worry though, no whales will be harmed during filming). We are still getting on with it and it will happen as soon as we can do it. Plus I have been going over my lines like a good little actors, okay, a good fair-sized actor.

Oh, and one last note I also gave Chris some jelly (the stuff you eat). No, not to make him feel better while his poorly, it's so Chris can do a test with the prop we got in the post last week and, yep, once again I can't tell you too much about it because [SPOILERS]. I know, I know am a tease.

Training Day

It was all going so well with props in the post and a vlog about ready to go, so really something had to go wrong. Yes, the two weeks shifts that took me out of the H&H loop have knocked us off track more than we realised and, due to additional circumstances this week, the next Actor's Log has been unavoidably delayed.

Yep, No Denzel for me.

I had forgotten about two things, you see, one was Mother's Day this coming weekend and the other being the Training Day I volunteered to take part in this Wednesday. No, I didn't get to hang out with Denzel Washington but I did learn the basics of First Aid at work, no, not that work, the other work. There was also a third thing as it turns out. After leaving my 2nd job's premises following the course finising I promptly headed home...and collapsed into a snotty, shivering mess as this ear infection/cold/whatever these godforsaken germs are came out. Urgh. That's why your Wednesday blog is coming to you on Thursday and the next vlog is (temporarily) scuppered. And why now I'm off for another hot drink. Vern will have more for you lot on Friday but now I'm off for tea amd sympathy.

With Teeth

Hello, Acting Fans, fellow bloggers and people of the world wide webs. HELLO, yep, it's Friday and time for us to update you on whats going on down here at H&H HQ.

Well at last me, myself and Chris finally got to get a meet-up done, (YEAH!) and, well, Chris came armed with an idea about extending the background for H&H, something about our two criminal actors' acting careers, which led to us compiling a list of fictional movie titles that both of them have starred in and, well, I'm not going to give too much away though I will tell you the idea is a take on a certain famous British film studio. Oh, and these fictional movies are going to big overseas but to tell you why would be [SPOILERS]. And, boy, how much did we laugh at the titles. I do indeed think you will like them, we even talked about maybe evening filming some of the trailers for these movies (Man we do like to make this hard for ourselves, but who said it was going to easy)

On a completely unrelated note (alright, alright, it might be a bit of a clue) Chris also brought down the 1958 Peter Cushing/Christopher Lee Dracula as some, erm, research...yes, that's it research into fine acting! After our Richard Harris viewing went so well, we thought we'd give a film a go and see what it brought up ideas-wise. As we watched it we were reminded that Peter Cushing is just one of the finest british actors to grace the silver screen, proper "ACTING!"all capitals. He was indeed that good, his line delivery seemed sometimes more modern and sophisticated compared to the actors around him plus his subtle facial expressions were amazing, brilliantly showing the passion and emotion behind a polite, stiff-upper lip exterior. Why is this important to H&H? Well, if we're going to learn, why not learn from the Best? Looking over old actors and looking at how they did it can still teach us a thing or two and listening to their off screen antics can be handy too. You never know what you might spot though.

In Yesterday's feature it was the two or three scenes in it that suddenly went broadly comic, in a way that western movies don't tend to do these days, it reminded us a bit of the way they still shift tone, even in more recent films, in Hong Kong and Chinese cinema. We also spotted the more static use of the camera in the shots, with more panning than camera movement, especially when it came to movement between two tiers, and less inter-cutting than more modern films. Lastly we realised neither of us felt we'd be as comfortable dashing around in a cloak as Sir Christopher Lee, he surely must have fallen over a few times - never mind leaping over tables! And all without the aid of a stunt-man (as far as we could tell). Crikey! All in all it was an eventful and funny day. We got quite a bit done, because sometimes a little world building is just as important and can add more to the characters, even if it's just in our heads for now.

McConaissance Reconnaissance

Greetings, Acting Fans, it's bad news again this Wednesday as once again my day job has taken me out of the H&H equation - don't ask me what m'learned colleague has been up to, once again we haven't even got together yet this week! I even have to admit I've been bad and haven't even made my usual first pass at the next vlog script yet, Naughty Chris! Enough of what I haven't been doing, what have I been doing?
Well, after work I have in fact found myself getting caught up in a fresh, exciting new cultural movement that started in 2011 in the United States - yes, I'm talking about the McConaissance. That's right, the stunning second act of Matthew McConaughey's acting career. I am a total convert. After not initially rating the Texan and dismissing him as a pretty-boy actor for years I decided to check out 'True Detective' due to the absence from my telly of the programmes I usually watch (yes, I was right in the middle of a 'Doctor Who' & 'Person Of Interest' drought). I'd heard positive rumblings about the show but dismissed it as yet another cop show with a bit of stunt Hollywood casting. Oh, boy, was I wrong!
Both McConaughey and his co-star (and real-life buddy) Woody Harrelson absolutely knock it out of the park!

It's a frankly stunning bit of Telly that's as much about deconstructing the form as it is in showing the mystery with a hint of Cosmic Horror to boot, whose creator Nic Pizzolatto has been open about the work of comic book writers Grant Morrison and Alan Moore. So, yes, the story is pretty much Chris Catnip but that would mean nothing with out the great central performances. Now, time to stop ogling other peoples' creativity and get on down to my own!

I, Spy (Family Extra)

Hello, Acting Fans, fellow bloggers and people of the Internet! Well, yep, it is Friday and it's time for the blog post, so what have we been doing. Well, alas and alack (mostly a lack of Chris) we still have not been able to have a meeting as Chris is busy with work, so nothing much has been done, But well sort off as I on and off have been looking on YouTube to find a clip of a show I was once in. Yep, like Chris I too have been on the tellybox, as an extra that is.

The show was a kids show called 'My Spy Family' and all I can say (much like the BBC 3 S***com (I'm not being harsh - it really was that bad) 'The Gemma Factor' that Chris appeared) in it, well, it's not the best kids show ever. Let's leave it at that. Sadly since I didn't have Satellite TV at the time it was first broadcast I never got to it. With our more recent H&H escapades I got to wondering about that footage of me beaming through outer space and, after search on and off on YouTube, what do you know? I found the it and, after looking through some of the episodes, checking when I did the filming and a bit of guessing, I found the two episodes I was in! And now you too can play 'Spot the Harcourt'!



                                                                           

I bet you're wondering, why, why is this important? Or is it not important at all and are you just blog filling until somethings gets done? Well, yes. And no as my appearance in the show is also going to be interwoven in to Harcourt & Haigh somehow, so there.

Life Finds A Way...To Get In The Way

Happy Humpday, Acting Fans, welcome to your mid-weekly update of what's what at H&H HQ. I have to admit that's not a lot so far this week, we haven't even managed to have our regular meet-up yet. Yep, It's the time of year where I'm called up in work near-enough full time, as I'm covering other colleagues annual leave which hasn't left any time for Acting at Large.
All I can do is apologise and assure you that I'm poring over Vern's script with an eye to the odd tweak or two and a bit of word wrangling. Hopefully we'll have more to report Friday but that's all for now.

Technically Hitched

Hello, Acting Fans, and welcome to this Not-On-A-Friday Friday Blog post coming to you late only partially because Vern is rubbish at remembering to remind me now that we are splitting the blog duties when I forget but mainly because we have had a SNAFU on the technology front.

It started out so promisingly too, a lot of the props we need for our upcoming next bit of filming were mostly a matter of gathering things together we already had. We did however need certain images creating and printing out. Now I collated these images earlier in the week and on Friday I thought I'd take the time on my morning off to get the printed out. Unfortunately the Printer's Devil struck and nether of the printers in the house could manage it. Bugger. We needed them sooner rather than late. And Vern doesn't have a printer that's good enough for photos, or work at all as it turns out.

So it was that an initially simple task became more difficult and led to me trawling round various Halifax Printshops to see if they'd print off photo quality images for me, after a lot of traipsing about and a lot more of just being fed up with this I ended up getting the assistance Totally Locally from Halifax's resident Photoshop, Janet Green's. All this palaver plus some ancillary stuff I needed to sort for myself meant the blog completely left my mind, sorry, Acting Fans, so here it is belatedly - better late than never. And so are our prints, thankfully.

Yes our Prints has come. Now we are faced with another conundrum, we have so far been unable to source a certain set of props and might have to think of some sort of low-budget replacement which is going to entails me staring at a Thesaurus (well, the contents of one) to try find a solution. Checking It Twice

Welcome once again, fellow bloggers, Acting Fans and people of the internet, yep, it's Wednesday once again and this is our blog.

Once again we have been a bit busy, we have put up another Vlog video on YouTube, Number 3. WHAT?! You've not seen it yet? Hmm...ok, I'll be nice and it is under this text of which are reading for you to watch and enjoy.

Watched it? gGood. Now what else have we been doing, well, we have been putting together a Christmas list, no, no, not for Santa (though we have been exceptionally good this year) but for our next vlog. You see we have a few things in which we need to do this next vlog. In fact I think it has the most props we have every used in one go, more than most episodes. No, really it has we have about [SPOILERS] many [SPOILERS] including a [SPOILERS], [SPOILERS] [SPOILERS] [SPOILERS], [SPOILERS] and [SPOILERS] *teehee* we are so mean to you!

Well I'd best get back to the list and find some footage clips of things I need for it. 'What footage and what things?' I hear you cry out at once, then suddenly silence. Well you will just have to wait and see, we won't keep you waiting too long for it.

Elemental, My Dear Watson

Happy Weekend, Acting Fans, it is for us here at and, in the spirit of 'Children in Need', here I am blogging away in my pajamas. Now it may be true that there has been little going on since our flurry of activity in getting the Actor's log off the ground (and on to Youtube) but as a part of the next phase of H&H we're trying to be better at disseminating our comedy doings, putting Twitter and Tumblr to good use to cut out our own slice of the Interwebs and, well, it's paid an unexpected dividend as we have been followed back by a musical idol of ours the inexplicable, irreplaceable master of syncopated speech with musical accompaniment Professor Elemental himself has followed us back on Twitter! What do you mean WHO?! Britain's foremost tea-drinker, explorer and gentleman rhymer, of course! THIS CHAP:

You might do well to acquaint yourself with his excellent oeuvre to entertain yourselves between doses of H&H, you could do worse. We'd just like to say a public Thank You to the Prof, especially as he's helped liven up an otherwise somewhat colourless blog, what with what we are doing (getting more props together and prepping more vlog ideas) not being at a stage to share with you more interesting details.

Scavenger Hunt

Welcome to this week's down-to-the-wire Friday Blog, Acting Fans, whoo I'm getting bad at this but here we are nonetheless. Sadly there's little new to report since the last H&H head-to-head but we are continuing on with the next phase of our plans for your favourite Actors at Large.

Vern did indeed get our bit of writing bashed out into Word and sent it on to me, where I did the brush up and polish on our verbiage. It's now ready to go and we hope to get it pencilled in shortly for shooting. The next phase of our latest scheme though requires a bit of a Scavenger Hunt.

Yes, Internet Chums, in touch with the ground, we're on the hunt - we're after props! And a rather specific set of them it is too. Once again we've made a rod for our backs but if we can beg, borrow or scrounge up all the stuff we need then hopefully it will lead to something rather amusing. To say any more, well, we'd be into [SPOILERS]! So stay tuned, folks, for further developments as m'colleague said, 'SOON'.
